Our Body Butter is one of our best-selling products due to its hydrating, delicious whipped texture. However, we normally discontinue it during the summer due to its temperature sensitivity. We do not use stabilizers or additives, only 4 pure and natural ingredients, so it's possible our Body Butter will melt in transit or in warm climates/households without AC.
If your Body Butter melts, you can still use it! It will be more like a body oil than a butter, but it still works the same.
If you prefer the original whipped consistency, there are some steps you can take to revive it:
1. Scoop the body butter out of the jar and into a heat-safe bowl
2. Melt down completely over a double boiler or in the microwave in 10-second intervals
3. Give a good mix to recombine all the ingredients
4. Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until completely solid
5. Let sit at room temperature until soft. You can press your finger into it to check
6. Mix with a hand mixer to rewhip the body butter
7. Optional - at this point you can choose to add additional essential oils!
8. Scoop back into original container
And you're done! It's that easy.
